"Happy Cinco de Mayo Everyone and Happy Turtle Season!  The girls are here!!"

Photos from the Marine Science Center's Turtle Day release of 2 rehabilitated sea turtles on 4/21/07.

It was wonderful to see so many people turn out for the event!

First turtle, Kringle...

Wolfgang was carried into the surf to be released.

Just part of the large crowd that showed up.

Scrooge the Kemp's Ridley was not released due to surf conditions.

Thanks to Turtle Patrol member Lori O. for sharing her photos of the release!

Email from Turtle Patrol president Beth Libert, October 4, 2006:
"Look what I found on patrol today". She was upside down in the surf and alive. Quite a challenge
alone on the ATV, but we made it back to Malacompra, still
alive. Now at the MSC in Ponce Inlet. (Note: unfortunately, Beverly did not survive.)
